Attended Funerals
An Attended Funeral is a service where family and friends come together to say goodbye in person, followed by burial or cremation. Attended Direct Funerals
An Attended Direct Funeral lets families spend a short, private time with their loved one at the crematorium to say goodbye. It respects their loved one’s wishes for a direct cremation while giving families a moment to grieve and find closure. Please note that the service time and the number of people in the chapel can be limited.
Unattended Funerals
An Unattended Funeral is a cremation or burial carried out without family or friends present, but every detail is handled with care, dignity, and respect. All unattended cremations take place at The Forest of Dean Crematorium.
Flowers and Tributes
We are fortunate to work with the finest florists in the area, who can create everything from traditional arrangements to bespoke floral tributes. They are happy to discuss your ideas and help design a personal tribute that perfectly honours your loved one.

Can I personalise the service?
Absolutely. Every attended funeral we arrange is tailored to the individual. From the music and readings to the order of service and floral tributes, we will work with you to create something that truly reflects your loved one’s life.
How many people can attend?
There is no limit on numbers for a full attended funeral. Whether you are expecting a small gathering or a large congregation, we will make sure everything is arranged accordingly.
Can we choose between burial and cremation?
Yes, an attended funeral can be followed by either burial or cremation depending on your loved one’s wishes and your family’s preferences.
Do I have to use your recommended florists?
Not at all. While we work with some wonderful local florists we would love to introduce you to, you are completely welcome to arrange flowers independently if you have someone in mind.
How far in advance do flowers need to be ordered?
We would recommend arranging floral tributes as early as possible once the funeral date is confirmed, to give florists enough time to create something truly special. We can liaise with them on your behalf if that would help.
What kinds of tributes can be arranged?
From traditional wreaths and coffin sprays to completely bespoke arrangements in your loved one’s favourite colours or the shape of something meaningful to them. The options are as personal as you want them to be.
